The Chippewa Valley Producer-Led Watershed Council is a group of farmers working together to improve soil and water conservation within the Lower Chippewa watershed. The council was established 2022.
Vision: Growing a better Chippewa Valley on the land and in the water.
Mission: Implementing farming practices for more profits and cleaner water.
The council also offers incentives to farmers in the watershed for implementing conservation practices including grassed waterways, soil testing, buffer strips, and cover crops. We also encourage farmers to continue their own education by attending field days and running their own trials.
